Who we are

I Support Akbayan is a campaign for hope. With daunting challenges that we confront as a nation, we defy apathy and at the same time celebrate initiatives by people who continue in their own ways to build our communities and our nation. The lives and efforts of people who contribute in restoring our collective dignity are testament that in solidarity we can beat the odds posed by traditional politics.

I Support Akbayan invites everyone to act. Believing that our collective effort is our greatest strength and that inaction contributes to the failure in our society, we seek to respond to the challenges of the times where ordinary people proactively take part in the pursuit of transformation whether at home, in the workplace, in government, in the communities.

I Support Akbayan is a volunteer campaign for people who want to make a difference. Akbayan, as a vehicle for progressive reform agenda, provides different platforms where groups and individuals can channel their time, talent and energies to effect change.
